Anyone have a recommended tuning/performance shop in the sacramento area?

S-Squared Motorsports (Subaru Specialists)

They just did their first Legacy GT reflash with good results. Anyways, their website is pretty minimal (www.ss-ms.com) but you can call the shop at 916-442-6409 (talk to Nate or Joe), send e-mail to aaron@ss-ms.com (their web guy) or post in their vendor forum on i-club (http://www.i-club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=110)

They are good people and helped me out with my old Legacy and will be working on my new Legacy in the (hopefully) near future.

They are located downtown, 600 Sunbeam Ave. Off of Richards and Hwy 160.

Thanks for the reference, Nick.

Feesh, give us a call or stop by and we can discuss what we can do to make your great car even better ;)
We do custom fabrication, can get any parts you want, Ecutek tuning on our Mustang AWD dyno, etc.

Perfect timing to join the boards! Welcome Aaron. Maybe when I get my car I may have to stop by!

Aaron, does SS-MS also perform suspension upgrades? I'm considering coilovers for my Legacy GT, but unsure of what the best overall (performance/cost) set up would be.

Most definitely. We specialize in rally/race prep, so we can definitely get a solution going for you. Haven't had a ton of customers with the multilink Legacies wanting performance stuff, but we can get any parts or custom fab stuff if necessary.

You could also check out Motorsport Dynamics (2439 Arden Way, 916-648-8000). Some of my friends from high school have taken there cars (WRX, Sti, Evo, etc.) there, and apparently had good results.

Motorsport is a good shop; they specialize in building some of the more traditional brands like Nissan and Toyota. Henry's a good friend of mine, you can't go wrong at either shop, though I'm obviously biased ;)

Let me know how the suspension upgrade goes if you go that route. I may be looking for something in the East Bay as well, but am not opposed to going to Sacramento for it
