i'm registered to be there, but knowing the anxiety attacks capitaldriving club gets when they hear there's a slight chance of mist or drizzle, it'll probably be cancelled.

at least right now, it looks like we should be mostly dry this weekend. Hopefuly it stays that way.
THis will be my first AutoX event --- anyone want to throw out some advice for me - also, how about the basic stuff?
I need to wear a helmet, correct? Any other safety type regulations i should be aware of?
I'm going to bump up my tire pressure, i remember someone posting a long list of other tips but can't find it anymore. (things such as rolling down your windows to lower your center of gravity)
Does anyone actually bother with taking out the spare tire / rear seat etc? (other than keefe who always adds weight to his car with passengers?)
how does registering and payment work -- show up at 8 with a check for 35 bones?
thanks!

HOLY SH!T!!!
thats all i can say to express how cool that was.
best time i saw anyone get all day was 37.x - my best was a 43.8. I was definetly really impressed by how well the LGT handles itself -- even on the stock RE-92's. While they don't have the grip of other tires, they're pretty consistant and once you learn thier limits it's not too bad.

Hey rallispec, it was a pleasure to meet you, hope to see you at the next event. I wonder if times are posted online anywhere.

eh, I wasnt even on my game today, just messing around, if the course was a little bit more wide open, it would be easier to get the driving line flowing and my car wouldnt be as hard to cope with such odd terrains and setups. Come to a FedEx Field event, it will blow your mind of a complete difference of what CDC does vs. WDCR-SCCA events are setup.

Yeah, SCCA events rock. I don't ever like CDC's course setup, but I can't deny, their tight technical course has aided me become a better driver.. ... sucks I wont be able to attend the next SCCA event at FexEx. I've got to get my rental property cleaned up and ready for sale.
