FS: Color Touchscreen Thermostat

I have a Honeywell Prestige HD Comfort System Kit for sale.

It consists of a full color touchscreen thermostat that can do just about anything you want and more. A wireless outdoor temperature/humidity sensor. And a Wireless remote for the thermostat that can also become the thermostat by pressing a button.


The honeywell part number for the kit is YTHX9321R5003

Retail price is over $1000.

This is a scratch and dent unit. The display on the color screen gets lines through it sometimes, but simply pressing on the screen fixes it for a few days until the lines come back. Functionality of the thermostat is unaffected.


I'm asking $400 OBO.

This thermostat displays indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. If you have adequate equipment this thermostat can control temperature separate of humidity.

In the winter, this means being able to keep a higher humidity making a lower temperature feel comfortable. This saves alot on your heating bill.

In the summer, you can use your AC as a whole house de-humidifier, allowing you to be more comfortable with a higher temperature. This saves alot on your electric bill.

It is a fully programmable thermostat that can do the 7 days of the week individually or put days into groups. Each day has 4 time periods and each time period has it's own setting for heating, cooling, and fan mode.

Programing is EXTREMELY simple with interview based instructions. Every screen has a "help" button on it. If there is a setting or option you aren't sure about, press the help button and there will be instructions/information about it. It really doesn't get any easier.

The wireless remote sounds gimmicky, but I use mine every night. The thermostat is located in my living room. If I wake up in the middle of the night because I am hot/cold, I can reach over to my wireless remote and adjust the thermostat. If you set your thermostat to 72 and it says it's 72 in the room, but the room you are in is at 75 and you're hot, normally you'd be SOL. But now you can take the wireless remote into the room you are in and select "read from remote". Now the wireless remote becomes the thermostat and will amke the room you are in 72. The remote displays indoor temp as well as out door temp and humidity.

Even with it's aesthetic flaw, $400 is a steal for this kit.
