i have a black nuptse northface down jacket that's been used for two seasons. i just bought another down jacket and this has always been too big for me (the jacket is an XL), so i never liked to wear it much.
it's in EXCELLENT condition. warm as a mofo :lol: zippers and pockets are all in great condition.

Believe today this is called a North Face Nupste Down Jacket. Really good gear.
I'm fairly certain that VTGT was asking whether this could zip "into" an outer North Face Shell. Looking at the zipper system, I'd say no, not in the traditional "zip-in" sense.
Would it work well under a water-proof outer shell? Yes, if you didn't compress the down too much to cut down the down's effective air space. It would work out well under something like a Marmot Precip Plus or a North Face Perspective Soft Shell Jacket - as long as the shell is roomy enough and it can breathe, you should be good to go.

It depends on the zipper of the jacket. If you can flip the zipper handle inside to outside, then it will work. I also have a North Face 700 down jacket and it zips with my waterproof North Face Hyvent shell.
