Sounds like we could try and do another mid-atlantic subie meet. I am taking my Professional Engineering exam on April 15th, but am free after that for the rest of the month (as far as I know). Maybe if we pick a date and have people post if they are coming, we could get something set up.

I would like to make one of these gatherings. Silver Spring is fine for me, I should be in town all of April so far. As long as things don't change, I am certainly in.

I'll double check my Calendar.. does a Thursday night sound good? or is the weekend better?

For that distance (Silver Springs to Owings Mills, especially around rush hour), I don't think a weeknight would be possible for me. Weekends are generally better for me.

Doh, this is harder than I thought.. well, I am going to hold on to April 23rd for now and sticky this. Make if you can, remember, wives, gfs, and significant others are ok. It's just a wing night.

Looks good so far but what about the sema show in Alantic City is not that the same weekend?

Xenonk

I will be instructing autocross schools all weekend in the morning and afternoon. SEMA in Atlantic City is nothing to really look at. I rather be behind the wheel rather than being behind the booth anyday and to pay to get in and walking around taking pics...

SEMA is May20th I think. I have my tickets already.

IS it not that SEMA is good or that it is a wast of time? I never was to one and was told the are nice but is it just a bragging right that if you go you can say that you were there?

Xenonk

It's a small venue compared the SEMA show in Vegas. It's a place where you can see the "new" parts for cars and stuff. In honesty, you are paying to see the new parts to see in person and before everyone else. SEMA in Atlantic City is only beneficial for the:

-Business man looking for vendor and becoming an authorized dealer for the new product
-Speed/Show Junkies looking for sponsorships
-To look at women car models (if any)

Nothing much more than that. Most of the stuff in Atlantic City SEMA show is really the leftovers of the Vegas show and mostly just the east coast companies show up to display.

Personally, there's nothing to brag about SEMA unless you come home with a sponsorship or two and mingle a lot with the vendors to promote business for them.

Post up if you are definitely going. Let's try and get something real this time. I will be there, provided more than one other person is going to show up.

I'll be there, even though it is about an hour drive for me. As long as two other people are there (Keefe,Calvin?), I will consider it worth my time to meet some fellow enthusiasts and shoot the breeze.

well, I also have another BBQ party down in Wheaton afterwards if you want to come along, some close car friends of mine of a small BBQ house party thing. If it's just the 3 of us, that's fine, but I know there's a few more people on the boards that are just around the corner lurking. Dont worry, we dont bite. Just come out and have some wings with us.

Xenonk

How was the turnout and food? Maybe next time.

almondcookie

The food was good. The adventure there was 1/2 the fun considering the intersection that you have to make a left at is completely blocked off. Who thinks of these things?

What are you all in the mood for next month? Maybe something a little more northernly for the folks up there? If it is somewhere more north then I guess you forum lurkers need to speak up and suggest a good place to eat. =).
