View Full Version : FS CA: Cobb Swaybar kit, Front/Rear inc. Kartboy links

This is my first post here so bear with me. I'm not much for selling parts on forums but my Legacy was totalled, I bought an 05 STi and now I have extra parts I cannot carryover.
I use eBay frequently, my member name is "labrat215" and I have a good feedback rating there. I also just bought a Perrin header from a member here, but through eBay so that might help.
Anyway, here are the bars, both in good shape; all hardware including bolts and brackets included as well as a set of rear Kartboy endlinks.
http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/qq198/tlevinson555/DSC01401.jpg
Local pickup is preferable, but I do have the original Cobb box to ship them in. Over $400 new withe endlinks, here on this post...$280 shipped, $250 local pickup.

if you decide to part with the endlinks, please let me know. I'm looking for a set for my Cusco RSB. :D
Thanks so much!

Where in CA are you located? I am very interested in just the sway bars. Big could pick up the endlinks on his own. I don't need them. PM me the local pickup price on the bars. EDIT: I will also pick up that cobb heatshield too.

I wouldnt do that if i were you. I sent the payment for the sway bars and all this guy has been for me is a hassle and a nightmare. For some reason he is extremely slow answering emails and so far has not sent me a tracking number when he promised me one 3 days ago.

This guy is a con artist. He was previously known as "spiralsmurf" seen at this thred http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95668.
I had sent him money for the sway bars on friday. monday he said he would send me a tracking number. no word from him yet. He's full of S!@#. I hope his place did burn down. he deserves it. His email address is dbebaypaypal@gmail.com (dbebaypaypal@gmail.com) STAY AWAY form this Unbarible pain in the A$$. He is not worth a breath of air. You might as well litterally light your money on fire. I could have and it would have done more for me then giving it to this waiste of life. If i were the administrator i would block his email address from ever joining.

^^took him what, about a week braxber to refund you and you weren't freaking out? this guy freaks in 5 days? Again, not to defend the guy, but if my house (and I'm guessing friends and family as well) almost burned, selling car parts would be a low priority. To say "I hope his place did burn down" over a few bucks is uncalled for. I hope you never have to deal with something of that magnitude. Get a grip.

Again, this is an unfortunate lesson learned to NOT PURCHASE FROM NEW MEMBERS WITHOUT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF THAT MEMBER! Also, when using PayPal, make sure you pay via a credit card instead of funds in your account so you have another back up method for disputes since PayPal is virtually useless. If you did use your credit card, wait up to 30 days and dispute through your credit card company. PayPal can't do squat about it since they (obviously) are useless.

Did they specify what the resolution would be, or would involve? Since the money was sent/accepted on the 6th of November, your 30-day window is up on the 5th of December. Not sure how they would have a "resolution" for you after the fact.

Another layer of protection.
Unfortunately, Paypal "disputes" really only have a chance if it was an eBay item. IIRC, in that case Paypal covers the purchase 100%, no matter what.
Whereas you used their money service to send funds for goods (other than from eBay), you get subject to these "loophole" terms of service like the one you described.
Had you used your credit card, you could have called the credit card company directly and disputed the charge, seeing the funds did originate from your charge card not your "paypal" (see: linked bank account).
Let this be a lesson for all who read this. I do hope it works out for you in the end though.

I hear you, and it's unfortunate that you have to go through this. Nothing is less tolerable than a thief IMO. They should cut their hands off like they did in the old days.
But yeah, you can link a credit card to your paypal account so that the charges go there rather than your bank account. Then you have to specify during FUNDING OPTIONS in paypal checkout to use that card.
Sucks man, keep the faith. Hopefully it turns out well.

Don't beat yourself up, hindsight's 20/20.
There's good deals to be had and made with members, it just sucks when stuff like this happens and tarnishes the whole system.
Try to use the safeguards the mods outline. Buy from trusted members with feedback, request pics with the member's user name written on a piece of paper, be wary of new members with low posts, etc.
Don't let this wreck your faith in the market, because there are deals to be had from trustworthy members. :)

I have only done my rear so far, but I had it on a lift, and found it was a little easier to take one of the tires off to get the sway bar out/in. Be patient with it, you'll find every time you move it through one object, the other side gets caught on something else...
Just take your time and be patient and it'll come off. Lemme know how the front goes, that's next on my list.

the front was actually easier then the Back for me. For the rear we took the wheel off with the muffler.
